This position will serve on-site at Deployables Operation Unit in Oxnard, CA\r\nResponsibilities\r\nMaintains schedules for material requirements and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to support production control by optimizing inventory storage systems.\r\nOptimize inventory storage systems.\r\nInterface with Production, Quality Control, Purchasing, Production Control and other related departments to resolve problems relative to receipt and distribution of material.\r\nMake decisions on part categorization, default bin size and location Research kit shortages, expedite missing kits, and be meticulous in kit integration.\r\nUnderstand, research, and reconcile traceability. Ensure inventory processes comply with quality standards and procedures.\r\nParticipate in 5S and other continuous improvement practices. Manage projects using relevant software tools and track to meet completion dates.\r\nSupport the organization's metric goals and objectives.\r\nAnalyze flow of material to reduce time of request to delivery.\r\nPacking and shipping outgoing orders via UPS, FedEx and various freight carriers.\r\nReceive and transact all incoming material in MRP system. Conduct cycle counts to validate quantity, revision levels, stock location, and transfers.\r\nExpedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.\r\nAssists in determining possible and actual shortages may initiate action to correct these deficiencies.
