The ability to enter confined spaces, climb and wear all appropriate personal protection will be required.\nEmploy organizational skills that effectively minimize obstacles that negatively impact the project. When obstacles arise, employ sound decision-making/problem-solving skills to resolve the issue.\nIncorporate positive interpersonal skills when communicating or interacting with customer, subcontract, vendor, craft and NCC jobsite personnel.\nProvide necessary interface with customer's inspectors on all aspects of quality.\nMonitor subcontractor work to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures and codes when applicable.\nPerform system verification on completed systems to assure correct installation per design specifications.\nMaintain work performance records, inspection records and other related items and ensure correctness.\nMarginal Functions\nPerform additional assignments per the direction of the Manager, Quality Assurance.\nTravel outside the local area, by air and car, when required to maintain the position's essential functions.\nPOSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS\nKnowledge:\nFive years of technical training and/or related experience required in quality assurance in the construction industry.\nKnowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Codes\nKnowledge of the National Board Inspection Code.\n\nExperience:\nFive years of construction industry experience in the quality assurance field yielding a thorough understanding of quality assurance programs, NDT processes and procedures, standards, codes, and the required documentation to support these activities. In addition, knowledge of computer hardware and software will be required.\n10 years of construction industry experience. Boiler and pressure vessel experience preferred.\n\nMachines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids: (Which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.)\n\nNDT equipment normally associated with Nooter Construction projects, such as dye penetrant test kits, magnetic particle test kits, hydro test equipment, x-ray, etc.\nComputer software: Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint); Bluebeam, use of the Internet.
