Applicants must be able to work in our Pompano Beach, FL office.\n\nApplicant must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.\nHardware Design Engineer – Concurrent Real-Time\nUnited States (On-site Pompano Beach, FL)\nFull-Time | Exempt\nDepartment: Custom Engineering\nEffective: February 2026\n\nAbout the Role\nConcurrent Real-Time is seeking an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced electronic systems that power world-class real-time solutions. If you’re passionate about computer engineering, self-directed, and excited by complex, open-ended technical challenges, you’ll thrive in this role.\n\nYou will own the full hardware development lifecycle—from concept architecture through production release—driving schematic design, PCB layout, hardware simulation, prototype validation, and cross-functional integration. This senior-level role influences product architecture, mentors junior engineers, and ensures design excellence across analog, digital, and mixed signal systems.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\nHardware Design & Development\nDesign, simulate, and debug high performance analog and digital circuits, components, and PCB layouts.\nLead hardware programs from abstract concept to production, including NPI (New Product Introduction).\nPerform signal integrity analysis, prototype bring-up, and rigorous validation testing.\nTechnical Leadership\nGuide architectural decisions, mentor junior engineers, and promote best practices.\nTranslate future product needs into engineering feasibility and system-level architecture.\nDrive innovative solutions where prior designs or processes may not exist.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with software, mechanical, QA, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.\nPartner with external vendors, component suppliers, and technology partners.\nPrepare detailed specifications, design documents, test reports, and release documentation.\nAdditional Engineering Contributions\nSupport performance benchmarking, release engineering, security hardening, and white paper development.\nContribute to test protocols and assist with system compatibility assessments.\nEnhance the technical knowledge base and collaborate effectively across departments.\n\nWhat You Bring\nEducation\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.\nExperience & Skills\n5–10+ years of hardware design engineering experience.\nStrong background in schematic capture, PCB layout, and hardware simulation tools.\nFamiliarity with FPGA design tools and Linux-based systems.\nExperience performing board bring up, validation testing, and debugging complex systems.\nStrong analytical, problem solving, and technical documentation skills.\nAbility to work independently while contributing to collaborative, cross-disciplinary teams.\n\nKey Attributes for Success\nHighly detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.\nComfortable working on complex, ambiguous engineering challenges.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to share expertise with peers and customers.\n\nWho You’ll Work With\nInternal: Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Product, and other cross-functional teams.\nExternal: Interface with customers, industry partners, and vendors to support product development.\n\nWhy Join Concurrent Real-Time?\nYou’ll design cutting-edge hardware used in mission critical simulation, aerospace, robotics, defense, automotive testing, and high performance real-time applications.
