American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Trauma Intermediate PCU night shift position in Springfield, MO, requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience and active MO or compact RN licensure.Job Details• Neuro Trauma Intermediate PCU (Step Down/PCU) in an inpatient hospital setting,• 26-bed unit functioning as an intermediate-level ICU,• Patient population includes neuro, trauma, alcohol withdrawal, respiratory distress, and patients on insulin drips,• Patient ratios of 3:1 or 4:1,• Equipment includes Philips monitors, chest tubes, arterial lines, wound vacs, drains, EVDs, Nicom, BiPAP, and Airvo,• EMR: Epic,• Night shift: 1900-0700,• Weekends required as determined by the facility,• No on-call requirements,• Floating on a rotational basis to the critical care cluster or med/surg,• 13-week contract,Job Requirements• Active RN license - must meet eligibility requirements for licensure in Missouri or hold a current MO or compact RN license,• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment,• Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient ICU experience required,• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted),• No employment gaps of 90 or more days within the past 12 months,• Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift, with significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning of patients with assistance,• Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs and pinch up to 15 lbs; occasional kneeling, crouching, and crawling required,Additional Information• Provides direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for post-trauma, surgical, and medically complex patients,• Coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize outcomes and patient comfort,• Night shift orientation is conducted on day shift; candidate must be available for the full orientation week,• RTO of up to 5 days is allowed but must be made up during the assignment; no RTO approved in the first week,• Only 1 holiday RTO request allowed per assignment,• Black scrubs required; Mercy-logo attire is also acceptable,• Flu vaccination or a Mercy-approved exemption is required from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted,• Facility is a Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center and a Level 2 Stroke Center,• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but are subject to a reduced bill rate,• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts; after that, a 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the 50-mile radius is required
