Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (interim)
TITLE: Interim Director of FP&ACOMPENSATION: $80-$95/hr with potential permanent conversion in the $160k-$175k range (no guarantees)LOCATION: Merritt Island, FL (Hybrid/Onsite Preferred)Company:A PE-backed manufacturing organization with domestic and international operations is seeking an Interim Director of FP&A to support continued growth and operational improvement initiatives. The company has been actively investing in finance infrastructure, leadership, and reporting capabilities while operating in a fast-paced, highly operational environment.Purpose Of Your Position:The Interim Director of FP&A will serve as a key finance partner to leadership while helping drive forecasting, budgeting, operational analysis, and reporting initiatives. This individual will play a highly hands-on role supporting strategic decision making, improving visibility into financial performance, and enhancing reporting processes and tools. The position is expected to begin as an interim engagement with potential opportunity to convert permanently if there is mutual interest, though no guarantees are being made.Primary Responsibilities:• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning processes across the organization • Build and maintain financial models to support operational and strategic decision making • Prepare KPI reporting, dashboards, and executive-level financial analysis • Partner closely with operational leadership to evaluate profitability, spending trends, and business performance • Support pricing analysis, capital investment evaluations, and other ad hoc strategic initiatives • Perform variance analysis and communicate key business drivers to leadership • Assist with cash flow forecasting and cost management initiatives • Identify opportunities to improve FP&A reporting processes, tools, and overall financial visibility • Support a fast-paced, PE-backed operating environment with evolving business needs • Work cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and executive leadership teamsRequirements:• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field • Prior FP&A leadership experience within a manufacturing or product-based environment • Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities - ideally 3 statement modeling • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and analytical experience • Experience building dashboards, KPI reporting, and executive-level reporting packages • Ability to operate in a highly hands-on and fast-paced environment • Strong communication and business partnership skills • Experience working closely with operational leadership teams • PE-backed company experience is a plus • CPA and/or MBA preferred
