In this role, the Software Engineer works closely adjacent to algorithm engineers, supporting the transition of algorithm prototypes into production-ready, maintainable software frameworks. The position focuses on integrating mathematically and physics-based algorithms into scalable, testable, secure software systems suitable for operational use.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nDesign, implement, and maintain software architectures that support algorithm development, simulation, and analytical workflows\nWork closely with algorithm engineers to integrate research and prototype algorithms into production-quality software frameworks\nDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated builds, testing, security scanning and deployment\nAnalyze algorithm tradeoffs, assumptions, and limitations when transitioning algorithms from prototype to operational software\nPropose and protype improvement to software frameworks that host embedded algorithms\nSupport the hardening, optimization, and maintainability of algorithm implementations developed by algorithm-focused engineers\nWork closely with systems engineers, analysts, and domain experts to translate operational needs into end-to-end software solutions\nManage individual tasks, priorities, and deliverables while contributing to team planning and technical decisions-making\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or a related technical field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience\nProficiency in Python and/or C++, with comfort in software architecture and system design\nStrong foundation in software engineering principles, including modular design, testing, documentation, and code quality\nExperience using software version control systems in team environments\nExperience designing or contributing to CI/CD pipelines for build, test and deployment automation\nFamiliarity with DevOps concepts, including secure coding practices and automated testing\nDemonstrated experience integrating algorithms, models, or simulations into software systems\nAbility to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders\nEligibility to obtain a Secret clearance\nExcellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills\nWorking proficiency in verbal and written English\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nActive Secret clearance or higher\nAdvanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Engineering\nExperience in aerospace, defense, space systems, or related domains\nProfessional experience with DevOps/DevSecOps tools\nExperience working alongside algorithm, research, or modeling teams to transition prototype solutions into operational software\nExperience with containerization and orchestration\nExperience implementing, evaluating, or integrating algorithms\nExperience with real-time or near-real-time systems\nExperience supporting algorithm-heavy systems such as decision aids, modeling & simulation platforms, or physics-based solutions.\nSALARY RANGE\n$115,000 - $190,0000+ annually\nActual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and years of experience.\nBENEFITS AND CULTURE\nExoAnalytic Solutions is a technology and innovation leader providing world-class products and services to the U.S. federal government and commercial customers worldwide.
