Role: Sr Contracts Program ManagerLocation: Torrance, California, United StatesEmployment Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleOne of our clients, a leading organization in the aerospace and defense sector, is seeking a Senior Manager – Program Contracts to support end-to-end contract management and program execution activities.This role will work closely with program leadership to manage contractual operations, including change management, proposal development, compliance, and customer engagement. The position requires a strategic thinker who can operate with limited oversight while representing the organization throughout contract award and execution phases.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement contract strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and organizational requirementsManage contract lifecycle activities, including planning, tracking, and contractual correspondenceReview, interpret, and analyze contract terms, particularly FAR 12 and FAR 15 government contractsLead change management processes, including baseline updates and contract modificationsSupport proposal development and submission, including pricing/fee strategies and approvalsMonitor contract performance and identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvementParticipate in program reviews, customer meetings, and monthly reporting activitiesCoordinate approvals for contract changes and support negotiation strategiesCollaborate with finance teams on funding requirements, estimates to complete (ETC), and reportingSupport EAC / EVMS variance analysis and corrective action initiativesPartner with legal and contracts teams for terms review, compliance, and approvalsLead customer-facing interactions, including funding status reporting and issue resolutionDrive risk and opportunity management across program lifecycleRequired Qualifications8+ years of experience in government contract managementStrong knowledge of FAR regulations (FAR 12 & FAR 15)Experience managing contract lifecycle, change management, and proposal processesAbility to operate independently and manage customer-facing responsibilitiesStrong analytical, negotiation, and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExtensive experience in defense or aerospace contracting environmentsCurrent or recent DoD Secret Clearance (ability to obtain TS/SCI preferred)Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related fieldMaster’s degree preferredProven experience in contract negotiations and dispute resolutionAbility to manage and track complex contractual documentationExperience with EVMS, EAC, and financial contract reportingStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to structure creative business solutionsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary range: $190,000 – $240,000 (based on experience and qualifications)Comprehensive benefits package including:Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life InsuranceRetirement savings plan with employer matchPaid time off and holidaysParental leave and wellness programsLearning and development opportunitiesAdditional RequirementsMust be a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work on export-controlled programsAbility to obtain and maintain required security clearanceApply Now!
