The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.\n\nREPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:\n\nSets enterprise-wide direction for the Scottsdale Consolidation Project in line with the executive leadership team direction\nDevelops & implements program strategies, roadmaps, and cohesive integrated plans to meet business and program objectives relating to revenue, margin, and business continuity\nDevelops, defines and executes project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables\nBalances program, risks and opportunities with executable strategies to meet technical requirements and budgets\nConducts reviews to drill down into issues on products/programs, identify issues, develop corrective actions, and communicate issues, impacts and corrective actions to program teams\nSets standards for and conducts metric reviews\nLeads cross-functional teams in matrix organization to achieve schedule, cost, and technical performance objectives\nPrepares and presents program status to leadership and internal customers/stakeholders\nReviews organizational capabilities, and leads the development/execution of strategies, to improve the competitiveness of the organization through actions such as professional growth & development, strategic hiring, strategic partnering, and acquisitions\nInterfaces with internal customers and stakeholders on technical matters regarding execution of the project\\\nNavigates challenging internal and external customer relationships\nIdentifies program scope changes and develops program positions for costs and feature changes or equitable cost/schedule adjustments\nDevelops personnel to ensure efficient operation\nDelegates assignments to others for developing solutions\nEffectively engages in complex negotiations involving various aspects of the business\nWorks on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in depth knowledge of the company\nMay be responsible for the development of contractor RFP’s and detail Statements of Work\nKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\n\nExceptional ability to identify/resolve complex problems with demonstrated use of sound analysis and problem solving techniques\nAbility to generate cohesive program plans\nAbility to identify partnership candidates best suited to fill capability gaps\n\nDemonstrated leadership of a program with significant delivery or technical risk\nSkilled in the development and implementation of product/program strategy and tactics\nExceptional understanding of business and supply chain strategy\nAbility to develop and implement a product oriented WBS and WBS Dictionary\n\nAbility to track work accomplished to baseline plans and identify issues, track progress, and follow through on effective corrective actions based on data analysis and trends\nExceptional verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to lead teams in matrix organization to achieve schedule, cost, and technical performance objectives\nAbility to lead others in team building, conflict resolution, motivation, leadership and advanced risk management\nAbility to apply advanced negotiation skills to solve internal, external and customer issues\nWill interact frequently with internal personnel and outside representatives at various levels\nSkilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions on programs to internal and external representatives\nNeeds ability to execute company policies that affect immediate operations\nExceptional ability to understand and analyze program financial data\nOutstanding relationship management and marketing skills\nExpert risk and opportunity management skills and ability to apply them to programs\nAbility to evaluate quality of work product to ensure satisfaction of customer requirements\nExceptional knowledge of government contracting practices and regulations regarding acquisition\nAbility to develop and execute proposal plans and strategies\nKnowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint\nMay be required to travel\n\nSalary Note: This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
