Information Systems Manager

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Information Systems Manager to join a high-impact government technology program supporting enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, storage, and secure systems operations. The Information Systems Manager will oversee technical teams, manage enterprise systems environments, and support mission-critical infrastructure initiatives focused on performance, security, reliability, and continuous service improvement.Clearance Requirement:Possess an active Q or TS level clearance (or equivalent) with the ability to obtain a Q level clearance within six (6) months of hiring.Responsibilities of the Information Systems Manager:Manage systems professionals directly and/or through subordinate leads by providing leadership, coaching, mentorship, and technical guidanceAct as a senior advisor to technical teams to resolve complex infrastructure issues and ensure project schedules are metMonitor enterprise system performance and implement improvements to increase reliability, scalability, and operational efficiencyDevelop and administer project schedules, operational metrics, and performance requirementsLead hiring efforts, team development, and workforce planning initiativesEnhance enterprise information systems by identifying technology opportunities and developing strategic application and infrastructure solutionsOversee maintenance of accounts, system security, workflows, and secure systems connectivityManage enterprise information systems policies, procedures, and governance standardsSupport service delivery initiatives including SLA/OLA management, continuous service improvement, and problem management processesEnsure compliance with IT security standards, operational best practices, and organizational policiesQualifications of the Information Systems Manager:Active Q or TS Clearance (or equivalent) required with ability to obtain Q Clearance within six months10+ years of related professional IT infrastructure and systems management experienceExtensive experience with VMware virtualization technologies including deployment, administration, troubleshooting, and optimizationStrong expertise in enterprise storage technologies including SAN, NAS, and backup/recovery solutionsHands-on experience with Commvault enterprise backup and disaster recovery platformsStrong experience supporting Windows and Linux server environmentsExperience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and/or Google CloudKnowledge of virtualization technologies including VMware and Hyper-VExperience with database management systems including SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQLStrong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall technologiesDeep understanding of IT security principles, compliance requirements, and infrastructure best practicesExperience with ITIL frameworks, DevOps methodologies, and enterprise service managementDemonstrated experience supporting SLA/OLA management, Knowledge Management, Service Delivery, Continuous Service Improvement, and Problem Management initiativesCompensation of the Information Systems Manager:Compensation: $140,000 - $170,000 based on years of experienceFull Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO/Holiday, Sick leave as required by state lawAdditional Perks:Long-term stable government programOpportunity to lead enterprise-scale infrastructure modernization initiativesCollaborative and mission-driven technical environmentGrowth opportunities within advanced infrastructure and cloud operationsKeywords: VMware, Virtualization, SAN, NAS, Commvault, Windows Server, Linux, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Hyper-V, SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewalls, IT Security, ITIL, DevOps, SLA, OLA, Service Delivery, Infrastructure Management, Systems Administration, Cloud Infrastructure, Backup & Recovery, Enterprise Systems, Government ITThis job opens for applications on 05/29/2026.
