Our mission is to provide superior-quality education, innovative information technology solutions that help federal agencies best aid, serve, and protect the American people.\nJob Title: Operations Engineering – Electrical Engineer\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n· Minimum of five (5) years of experience in construction or facility maintenance with a focus on electrical engineering.\n· Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.\n· Completion of training courses, including WMGT 417, WMGT 231, WENG 200, and WENG 400.\n· Familiarity with Agency Directed PAD 12-03 and Plan guidelines and requirements.\n· Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, standards, and regulations.\n· Experience in utilities management and optimizing power supply.\n· Proficiency in electrical engineering software and tools.\n· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\n· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.\n· Project management experience and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.\n· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in electrical design and analysis.\n· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\n· Electrical Operations Management:\nOversee and manage electrical operations within the construction or facility maintenance setting.\nEnsure the efficient and effective functioning of electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure.\nConduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions.\nDevelop and implement maintenance and repair plans to minimize downtime and ensure reliable electrical supply.\nCoordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support operational needs.\n· Utilities Management:\nManage utilities, including AMP (Auxiliary Power) and Electrical Sub-AMP (Sub-Auxiliary Power).\nMonitor utility consumption, analyze trends, and implement energy-saving measures.\nCollaborate with utility providers to ensure the availability and reliability of power supply.\nOptimize utility systems to minimize costs while maintaining operational requirements.\nStay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in utilities management.\n· Electrical Engineering:\nApply electrical engineering principles and practices to evaluate, design, and implement electrical systems.\nPerform calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.\nDevelop electrical design plans, specifications, and drawings.\nCollaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate electrical systems into overall facility designs.\nProvide technical expertise and guidance on electrical engineering matters.\n· Compliance and Documentation:\nAdhere to Agency Directed PAD 12-03 and PPlan guidelines and requirements.\nEnsure compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.\nMaintain accurate documentation, including drawings, specifications, equipment records, and maintenance logs.\nSupport internal and external audits and inspections related to electrical systems.\nStay informed about changes in electrical codes, regulations, and industry practices.\n· Project Management:\nManage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion.\nDevelop project scopes, budgets, and schedules.\nCoordinate and oversee the work of contractors, technicians, and other project team members.\nMonitor project progress, track expenses, and ensure timely delivery of project objectives.\nCommunicate project updates and outcomes to stakeholders.\nWhy FAR Group?\nYou can take pride in working for a company dedicated to serving our government by providing the best, most cost-effective solutions for the US Government.
