Senior Territory Manager (KS, MO)

Kansas City & Missouri Territory ManagerOwn and manage the Kansas City & Missouri territory by developing agency relationships and growing commercial P&C business.You will spend most of your time in the field—meeting with agency partners, increasing submission activity, and building a book of business aligned with underwriting guidelines.Increase written premium by expanding submission activity from agency partnersBuild and maintain agency relationships through regular in-person meetingsReview agency performance and adjust territory approach based on resultsWork with underwriting and distribution leadership to align on guidelines, pricing, and growth plansUse data (agency performance, market trends, competitor activity) to determine where to focus time and effortFollow a consistent sales process, tracking activity, pipeline, and resultsOwn and grow the Kansas City & Missouri territory by building strong agency relationships and driving profitable commercial P&C business.You'll spend most of your time in-market—meeting with agency partners, increasing submission flow, and shaping a high-quality book of business aligned to GUARD's underwriting appetite.Grow premium profitably by increasing submission flow from key agency partnersBuild and deepen agency relationships through consistent, in-person engagementIdentify underperforming and high-potential agencies and adjust your territory strategy accordinglyPartner closely with underwriting and distribution leadership to align on appetite, pricing, and growth targetsUse data (agency performance, market trends, competitor activity) to prioritize where to spend time and resourcesExecute a disciplined sales approach—tracking activity, pipeline, and results against defined goals3+ years of experience in territory management, production underwriting, or broker distributionExperience growing a book of business through agency relationshipsKnowledge of commercial P&C (Workers' Comp, BOP, Auto, Umbrella)Familiarity with the Kansas City & Missouri market and agency environmentExperience using data and metrics to inform decisionsClear and effective communication with agency partners and internal teamsStrong organizational skills and independent problem-solving in complex situationsHigh travel role with regular in-person agency visitsResponsibility for managing territory approach and resultsRegular coordination with underwriting, distribution, and leadership teamsExcel required; Power BI a plusBachelor's degree preferredThis position is subject to background screening, which may include drug testing and motor vehicle record review for roles involving driving.Salary Range $105,000-$130,000 USD + performance-based bonus potential and use of a company carIn accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, this range represents a good‐faith estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, credentials, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
