*Please note: A resume is required for this position. Pay Rate: $25.00 an hourSUMMARY: Schedule, set up, maintain and operate audio-visual and multimedia equipment for event productions. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the set-up, operation and breakdown of basic to high-end computer, audio, video, projection and lighting equipmentSecure, store, transport and provide routine maintenance on equipmentAccount for inventories before and after each eventPerform audits and assist with forecasting equipment needs and planning projectsPerform audio and video program editingInteract with internal and external guests to meet and exceed their needsAssists Catering department as neededKNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIESKnowledge and Certification Required:High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience2-year technical or trade school degree in Audio/Video Production or related field; and 2 years audio / visual experience, including operational knowledge with video projectors, DVD/VCR, karaoke machine, and Midas M32 soundboard or an equivalent combination of education and experienceSkills Required:Accurate and detail-orientedStrong organizational skillsProficient computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and WindowsExcellent verbal and interpersonal communication skillsStrong mechanical aptitudeAbilities Required:Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygieneAbility to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous mannerAbility to independently or as a team to complete multiple tasksAbility to serve both internal and external customersAbility to troubleshoot, maintain and repair specialized equipmentAbility to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesREQUIRED TRAININGTreasure Island guest service trainingAny position-related training as determined by department managerPHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to walk and / or stand and sit for long periods throughout the dayMust have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel and stoopMust be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinelyMust have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds routinelyMust have manual dexterity necessary to manipulate electronic equipmentMust be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motionsMust have good eye hand coordinationWORKING ENVIRONMENTOffice, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke and outdoors for guest eventsMust be able to work in cramped, tight quartersMust be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidaysOccasionally overtime may be requiredOccasionally must deal with angry or hostile individualsHigh volume direct public contact
