We respect your time and promise clear, timely communication throughout.📍 Work Location: Onalaska, WI💰 Compensation & Benefits Total Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000 annuallyBenefits Include:Comprehensive health benefits starting the first of the month following hire401(k) with company matchProfit sharingGenerous paid time off and paid holidays🌍 Your PurposeAs a Payroll and Benefits Specialist, you'll deliver high-quality, efficient support across payroll, benefits, and the full team member lifecycle. You'll leverage HRIS systems and data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and insight, while creating a seamless, positive experience for every team member you support.Your work will directly strengthen our People Operations foundation, helping us scale with confidence, consistency, and care.💪 What You'll DoProcess weekly payroll with precision, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulationsManage payroll adjustments, reporting, and resolve team member inquiries with a service-first mindsetMaintain and optimize HRIS data integrity; generate reports and insights (turnover, compa-ratio, compliance)Support the full team member lifecycle—from onboarding through offboarding and benefits transitionsAdminister benefits programs, including life-event support, education, and open enrollmentManage leave of absence programs (FMLA, personal leave, and more) and ensure proper documentation and complianceHandle workers' compensation and unemployment claims in partnership with internal and external stakeholdersIdentify and drive process improvements across payroll, benefits, and HR systems🎓 What You Bring (Briefcase)Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or related field (Bachelor's preferred). Additional relevant experience will be considered instead of formal education1+ years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing for an organization with 100+ employees Hands-on experience with HRIS systems (Paycom strongly preferred)Exposure to benefits administration and broader HR operations🧠 Skills & Abilities (Head)Strong knowledge of payroll processes, compliance regulations, and benefits administrationHigh attention to detail with a track record of accuracyAnalytical mindset with the ability to interpret and report on HR dataExcellent organizational and time management skills in a high-volume environmentStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to navigate HRIS systems and Microsoft Office tools effectivelyCritical thinker who can solve problems and improve processes❤️ Who You Are (Heart)You're someone who thrives on getting the details right, because you know people are counting on it.
