Safety is central to everything we do, and we are committed to building a culture where every employee goes home safely every day.We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and continuously improve our company-wide safety program across field operations, transportation, plants, shops, and construction sites.Position OverviewThe Safety Manager will oversee all safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, training programs, incident investigations, and risk reduction efforts throughout the organization. This role partners closely with operations leadership and field teams to create a proactive, accountable, and safety-driven culture.This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on safety professional who thrives in heavy construction environments and wants to make a visible impact across a growing organization.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all company safety programs across field operations, shops, plants, trucking, and construction sitesConduct field inspections, audits, and job hazard analysesInvestigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actionsDevelop and deliver practical, field-focused safety trainingMaintain OSHA compliance and safety documentationEnsure compliance with DOT, and applicable state and federal regulationsPartner with operations leadership to improve safe work practices and reduce incidentsDevelop and deliver safety training for field personnel, supervisors, and new hiresMonitor workers’ compensation trends and accident prevention effortsMonitor safety performance metrics and recommend continuous improvementsAssist with emergency response planning and fire prevention activitiesEnforce company safety policies and hold teams accountable when standards are not metWhat We're Looking ForExperience managing safety programs in heavy civil construction, asphalt, trucking, aggregates, or related industriesStrong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standardsExperience conducting safety audits, investigations, and training programsAbility to build trust and communicate effectively with field crews and leadership teamsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailWillingness to spend significant time in active field environmentsPreferred QualificationsCertified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification preferredBachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Construction Management, or related field preferredExperience with asphalt plants, crushing operations, heavy equipment, or commercial transportation is highly valuedWork EnvironmentThis position includes both office and field responsibilities. Regular exposure to active construction sites, heavy equipment, dust, noise, weather conditions, moving machinery, asphalt plants, and trucking operations.
