Experience supporting industrial or recycling operations, including chemical compliance, will be highly valued.\n\nTRAVEL REQUIRED: This position will require significant travel (50%) to multiple locations across Oregon and California.\nBenefits include: healthcare, 401K, PTO, and EAP.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nDirect safety and compliance programs across several operating locations, ensuring consistent implementation of standards and procedures.\nConduct routine site assessments, inspections, and risk reviews to identify hazards and recommend practical corrective actions.\nDeliver safety training sessions and facilitate group discussions that reinforce safe work practices and regulatory awareness.\nReview, refine, and strengthen existing safety policies to improve effectiveness, accountability, and operational alignment.\nPartner with operational leadership to address workplace safety issues and build a proactive safety culture across sites.\nProvide guidance on OSHA-related requirements, documentation, and compliance expectations for day-to-day operations.\nSupport environmental and chemical safety efforts relevant to recycling or industrial activities, helping maintain regulatory readiness.\nCollaborate with external safety consultants to coordinate additional support and implement recommended improvements.\nAt least 5 years of experience in safety management, environmental health and safety, or a closely related field.\nDemonstrated success overseeing safety programs for multiple locations or large-scale operational environments.\nStrong working knowledge of OSHA standards, workplace inspections, and regulatory compliance practices.\nExperience conducting safety audits, managing compliance documentation, and evaluating operational risk.\nAbility to develop and lead effective safety training for employees and site-based teams.\nBackground in improving safety policies, procedures, and prevention programs in active operations settings.\nFamiliarity with environmental safety and chemical compliance requirements; experience in recycling operations is a plus.\nRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
