We are looking for a facilities technician who enjoys solving problems independently and taking ownership of projects, can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and shares our passion for building infrastructure to support our company’s goals. This role contributes to every mission and every flight we fly as we continue to reimagine the future of missile defense systems.\n\n*Duties*\n\n* Partner with Long Wall employees to maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas that can function efficiently, and effectively.\n* Participate with in the facilities team to support maintenance, infrastructure upgrades and preventative maintenance throughout all buildings including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical repairs, exterior property maintenance of grounds in accordance with safety and environmental protocols.\n* Diagnose issues with building systems and equipment, identifying the root cause of problems and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.\n* Evaluate campus through inspections as assigned; identify and recommend areas for repair and upgrade.\n* Operate and deliver complete and on time work that has been assigned through our mobile CMMS software.\n* Support external vendors and contractors while onsite for larger scale projects.\n* Respond promptly to emergencies, such as power outages, leaks, or equipment failures, and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks and minimize damage to property or personnel.\n\n*Basic Qualifications:*\n\n* High school diploma or equivalency certificate\n* Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance and repair\n\n_*-OR-*_\n\n* 1-2 years of experience *AND* specialized training, direct work experience, or certification in one or more of the following disciplines focusing on repair, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting:\n* HVAC systems, air compressor systems\n* Tool repair\n* Machine maintenance\n* Carpentry\n* Electrical, plumbing, or construction.\n\n*Required Skills and Experiences:*\n\n* Proficient and comfortable using hand and power tools required to complete facilities work\n* Familiarity with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and OSHA safety requirements\n* Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, or facility drawings\n* Experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or similar work order/maintenance tracking software\n* Valid driver's license, with reliable transportation to travel between campuses\n* Comfortable performing work in elevated locations, tight spaces, and other physically demanding facility environments\n\n*Additional Requirements:*\n\n* Ability to sit, stand, squat, and walk for extended periods of time.\n* Ability to occasionally ascend/descend on ladders and/or work on rooftops.\n* Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly and often throughout the day. Ability to communicate with individuals and groups in person, by phone, and telepresence.\n* Can work in an indoor manufacturing environment 70%, outdoors 30%\n* Travel between our El Segundo (50%) and Port of Long Beach (50%) facilities as required.
