Job DetailsThis 13-week Occupational Therapist position is based in a skilled nursing facility in Orlando, Florida, offering 8-hour day shifts for a predictable daytime schedule. You will work with a primarily geriatric population in a post-acute and long-term care setting, focusing on functional independence, ADLs, transfers, and safe mobility.A typical day includes evaluations, treatment sessions, documentation in the facility's EMR, participation in care conferences, and close collaboration with physical therapy, speech therapy, nursing, and case management. Caseloads commonly include post-surgical, orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and general debility patients, with productivity expectations aligned with standard SNF practice.The therapy environment is structured and collaborative, with dedicated treatment spaces and access to necessary equipment for ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, and cognitive interventions.
