This includes the admission and orientation of incarcerated individuals, intake/release, monitoring the Unit Team/Classification Board, and management of all records/documents for incarcerated individual packets. In addition, you will ensure that all incarcerated individuals with a medical/program classification are identified and appropriately assigned.\n\nSalary:\nThe salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,222.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience. Use our Compensation Calculator to view the total compensation package.\n\nA Day in the Life:\nThe essential functions of this role are as follows:\nSupervise Classification, Release, Offender Records area.\nSupervise intra-facility assignments, reassignments, and processes in accordance with classification administrative policies and procedures.\nApprove or deny re-entry classification recommendations as applicable.\nProvide classification support, recommendations, and expertise to all facility management levels.\nDevelop and administer facility operational procedures related to classification, releases, and records.\nProcess inter-facility transfer requests to the appropriate Central Office Classification Analyst.\nProvide classification training to various staff multiple times a year.\nEnsure offenders are informed of decisions and the required documentation is completed and filed in the offender’s records.\nMaintain an ongoing review of the Offender Management System (OMS) and related software systems.\nRecruit, evaluate, and train employees to ensure role responsibilities and expectations are clearly understood while providing corrective actions and opportunities to continue professional development.\nThe job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
