Production Assistant

Position SummaryThe Production Assistant provides administrative support to the plant production team by overseeing the administration of various systems and programs.Key DeliverablesOversees the daily and monthly calculation of production efficiency and spoilage ratesProvides production volume, efficiency, spoilage, and stock inventory reportsAssists with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of quality systems, raw material management and performs periodic internal audits as directedAssists in training new employees as neededMonitors data in SAP and Lighthouse to ensure accuracy, and makes corrections when neededProvides administrative support in cooperation with the production department needsEnsures materials and finished goods inventory accuracy in cooperation with the warehouse departmentPurchases auxiliary materials as needed to support production department in coordination with the purchasing teamPerforms other duties reasonably corresponding with the role, as directedKnowledge/Skills/Experience3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment desiredStrong analytical skills and proven ability to work independentlyExperience with manufacturing MES systems (Shop Floor Online) is a plusExperience with ERP systems (SAP) is desiredAble to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goalsStrong knowledge in Excel is a plusProficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.If you are a current CANPACK employee, please apply through your Workday account.CANPACK Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law or not related to job requirements, unless such distinction is required by law.
