This role goes beyond administration. The Systems Engineer is an integrator of design, planning, and operations, someone who understands how a fixture flows from design through shipping and builds systems that make that flow faster, cleaner, and more measurable. They refine workflows, build automations, and help leadership see team targets clearly.\nKey Responsibilities\nPlatform Administration\nOwn day-to-day administration of NetSuite (items, BOMs, work orders, inventory, POs, reports, saved searches, roles), Autodesk Fusion / Fusion Manage, and Wrike\nMaintain user access, permissions, and licenses across platforms; manage onboarding/offboarding\nEnsure the custom WMS remains well-integrated with NetSuite and reflects physical operations accurately\nIntegration & Automation\nBuild and maintain integrations between NetSuite, Fusion, Wrike, and the custom WMS\nDesign automations (SuiteFlow/SuiteScript, Wrike automations, webhooks, scheduled jobs) to reduce manual handoffs\nPartner with Design, Manufacturing, and Operations to identify high-impact automation opportunities\nWorkflow Design & Team Targets\nTranslate real-world workflow (design engineering vendor receiving finishing assembly ship) into system workflows and stage gates\nBuild dashboards and reports that surface team targets, lead times, and bottlenecks\nPartner with department leads to refine status fields, definitions of done, and handoff protocols\nReliability & Change Management\nDocument system configurations and changes; manage release processes for customizations\nTrain teams on workflows and provide Tier-2 support for system issues\nEvaluate and implement new tools, modules, or integrations\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)\n3–5 years of experience administering and extending NetSuite in a manufacturing or inventory-driven environment\nWorking knowledge of Autodesk Fusion / Fusion Manage and Wrike (or similar tools)\nProven ability to design workflows and build automations\nFamiliarity with SQL, SuiteScript, or similar scripting tools\nStrong communication skills and ability to translate operational needs into system solutions\nPreferred Qualifications\nNetSuite SuiteScript 2.x or Administrator certification\nExperience integrating a custom WMS with NetSuite\nExperience with iPaaS tools (Celigo, Workato, Boomi, Zapier)\nBackground in manufacturing or make-to-order environments\nExperience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI)\nCompensation & Benefits\nSalary: $100,000 – $130,000 annually (based on experience)\nDiscretionary bonus\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\n401(k) with company match\nPTO, holidays, parental leave\nEmployer-paid life and disability insurance\nEmployee assistance program\nSafety shoe and eyewear allowance\nEmployee discount on Allied Maker products\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\nOn-site at the Glen Cove workshop\nPrimarily office-based with frequent time on the shop floor\nRequires seated computer work with occasional light lifting\nAbout Allied Maker\nAllied Maker is an American design and manufacturing studio creating luxury-crafted lighting fixtures.
