A typical business systems analyst is responsible for analyzing user requirements, procedures and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations.\nJob Responsibilities:\nGather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers.\nConfer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs.\nPrepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.\nInterview or survey workers, observe job performance or perform the job to determine what information is processed and how it is processed.\nCoordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared.\nConsult with management to ensure agreement on system principles.\nExpand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve work flow.\nSkills:\nVerbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage one’s time.\nBasic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.\nKnowledge of design techniques and principles involved in production of drawings and models.\nKnowledge of computer software, such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc.\nTypical task breakdown:\n· Monitor CORE Inbox for Alerts on Assets\nMonitor Equipment through Client Marine Digital Tools\nReview equipment alerts\nAct on alerts with Technical Lead, CORE Manager, or Fleet Manager\nProvide comments on actions\nCross Reference Digital tools while troubleshooting\nProvide technical information for Fleet Managers for Customer service with dealer for Trouble calls\nDocument issues and status through the Sales Force Platform\nCommunicate noted issues to Customers through CORE Email\nInteraction with team:\n- High level of interaction is expected.\nWork environment:\nOffice\nEducation & Experience Required:\n- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent\n- 1-3+ yrs. working on machinery such as combustion engines, hydraulic systems, or pneumatic devices.\n- 1-3+ yrs.
