Description DevOps Engineer - JuniorSioux Falls, SD 57198Location: On-SiteJob Description:Anakim Consulting Inc. is hiring a Junior level DevOps Engineer with experience applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to support an AWS enterprise cloud environment. Qualified candidates will have foundational experience designing and implementing AWS cloud infrastructure and an interest in learning and growing in the role.Responsibilities include:Work as part of a dynamic DevSecOps team supporting migration of physical and on-prem infrastructure to AWS cloud.Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines using CI/CD tools such as GitLab Runners.Support DevOps infrastructure following IaC principles and best practices.Support team in developing and maintaining provisioning/deprovisioning, monitoring and auditing AWS cloud infrastructure using automation tools.Apply analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues.Develop and maintain system documentation, as required.Use Ansible and similar configuration and automation tools to support automation.Demonstrate consistent interest in learning and applying new tools and technologies to leverage industry best practices and enhance productivity.Support Agile team and participate across iterative development lifecycle. Position Requirements Basic Qualifications:U.S. citizenship (no dual citizenship)Ability to obtain U.S. Government security access (Public Trust level)Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or related disciplineEquivalent years of related experience or training may be considered in lieu of a degree2+ years of related experience supporting cloud engineering or DevOps in AWS enterprise technology environmentAWS Certification at Associate Level Demonstrated understanding of cloud computing concepts, services, and operating modelsDemonstrated experience working hand-on with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and containerization supporting DevOps environmentExperience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and technologies such as AWS or TerraformConfiguration Management experience using Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar toolsDemonstrated proficiency with scripting in one or more languages such as Python, PowerShell or Bash to support automation tasksAbility to estimate timelines and workloads and estimate cost strategies to optimize implementationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to present technical information to technical and non-technical team membersStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environmentPreferred Qualifications:Professional or Specialty AWS Certification is a plusTerraform Associate Certification is a plusExperience or strong understanding of Agile methodologies is preferredExperience with FinOps in an AWS cloud solution is a plus#AWSCloud #DevOps #CICD #IAC #Iterative #Agile #Terraform #FinOps #GitLab #GitRunners #Ansible #Puppet #Chef #Python #Bash #PowerShell Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Salary Range This position offers a full-time W2 salary and eligibility for benefits.
