About the RoleWe're hiring a Tech Lead to own and expand Fingerprint's website and acquisition surfaces by owning engineering and supporting infrastructure.This role reports into the Engineering org, but functions as a part of the Marketing team. You'll act as the Tech lead of our website, landing pages, experimentation framework and content tooling. You'll work at the intersection of design and demand generation, helping Marketing ship faster while pursuing excellence in quality, performance and creativity.This is a senior, hands-on role focused on ownership and outcomes. You'll collaborate with other Engineering resources to drive ideas to production, optimize website performance and scale the website to Enterprise level.The stack is modern and lightweight: Vercel serverless functions (Node.js / TypeScript) with no long-running servers. Experience with transitioning from a custom platform to a CMS is also essentialWhat You'll DoDefine Technical Strategy: Own the long-term technical roadmap for Fingerprint's web presence, ensuring our marketing surfaces are as scalable, secure, and performant as our core product.Architect Scalable Systems: Lead the architectural transition from custom code to a headless CMS/Framer-driven ecosystem that balances developer flexibility with marketing autonomy.Drive Technical Excellence: Act as the final authority on website infrastructure and tool selection, ensuring our stack (Vercel, Gatsby, Node.js) remains modern, lightweight, and debt-free.Engineering Partnership: Serve as the primary technical liaison between Marketing and the broader Engineering organization, ensuring cross-team dependencies are identified and unblocked early.Build-to-Enable: Create reusable components, primitives, and "Golden Paths" in Framer and Gatsby that allow non-technical stakeholders to ship high-quality pages without constant engineering intervention.Performance & Security Oversight: Own the "Definition of Done" for web projects, maintaining elite Lighthouse scores, robust SEO, and rigorous security standards (CSP, headers, and data privacy).Experimentation Infrastructure: Lead the technical implementation of our A/B testing and attribution frameworks (Amplitude, Posthog, GTM), ensuring data integrity across the entire conversion path.Technical Mentorship: Provide high-level architectural guidance and rigorous code reviews for other engineering resources contributing to the web properties.Strategic Advising: Act as the senior technical partner for Marketing leadership, distilling complex technical trade-offs into clear business decisions regarding feasibility and impact.What You Bring7+ years of experience in Marketing Engineering, Frontend, or Growth Engineering roles3+ years of experience as a Tech Lead or Staff Engineer , with a proven track record of designing systems that allow non-technical stakeholders (Marketing/Growth) to scale independentlyExperience owning and evolving production marketing websitesStrong proficiency with modern frontend fundamentals including HTML, CSS and JavaScriptHands-on experience with FramerExperience building serverless APIs using Node.js and TypescriptStrong understanding of analytics, experimentation and attributionExperience using Amplitude, Google Tag Manager and PosthogStrong design sensibility, including attention to spacing, heirachy, motion, and detailCapability to create delightful, accessible and performant experiences to users, adhering to latency benchmarksFamiliarity with SEO, performance optimization and CRO best practicesAbility to work autonomously and take full ownership of outcomesClear communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally with Marketing, including consistent collaboration through Slack, screenshots and callsNice to HaveExperience building custom code components in FramerKnowledge of UX and best design practicesExperience with advanced Framer animations or custom motion components.Familiarity with Framer MotionExperience with serverless integrationsMotion or interaction design backgroundBackground in B2B SaaS, PLG, or cybersecurityExperience working closely with Marketing teamsFamiliarity with CMS-driven or structured content setupsAbility to prioritize cost versus the impact on experience (for example, some animations are unnecessary because they are not the main focus)For US-based employees , the cash compensation range for this role is $178,000 - $205,000. We set standard ranges for all US roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. To comply with local legislation and provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. However, these ranges are specific to the hiring location and may differ within or outside the US. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
