This role performs advanced dimensional inspections, supports Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gage R&R studies, manages nonconformance activities, and helps drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives within an AS9100 aerospace manufacturing environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nEvaluate measurement uncertainty, gage capability, and the effectiveness of inspection and measurement methods.\nPerform and support Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (Gage R&R) studies and other Measurement System Analysis (MSA) activities.\nAnalyze measurement data and quality trends to identify potential issues and support root cause investigations.\nInterpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and customer quality requirements, including GD&T.\nSupport and perform First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102, customer requirements, and company procedures.\nManage nonconforming material by identifying, documenting, segregating, and processing discrepancies through established DMR procedures.\nProcess customer returns (RMAs) and internal nonconformances, including investigation, data collection, and trend analysis.\nAssist with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive action activities (CAPAs).\nUtilize Epicor ERP to process quality-related transactions and maintain records.\nMonitor, track, and report quality metrics, including cost of quality, customer returns, scrap, rework, and inspection performance.\nMaintain quality documentation and records in compliance with AS9100 and company procedures.\nCollaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Suppliers, and Customers to resolve quality concerns and improve product performance.\nParticipate in internal and external quality audits as required.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, measurement accuracy, efficiency, and cost reduction.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nEducation or Experience Needed\nAssociate degree in Metrology, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.\nMinimum of 3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within aerospace or precision manufacturing.\nExperience with Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Gage R&R studies, and dimensional inspection techniques.\nStrong understanding of precision measuring equipment and inspection practices.\nAbility to read, interpret, and analyze complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.\nExperience supporting nonconformance investigations, corrective actions, and quality improvement initiatives.\nFamiliarity with ERP systems required; Epicor experience preferred.\nProficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.\nQualifications Needed\nExperience in AS9100 and AS9102 environments.\nAerospace manufacturing experience.\nKnowledge of quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, SPC, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.\nExperience supporting internal and external quality audits.\nAbout us\nPrecision manufacturer of medical and aerospace components.\nShift: 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday.\n***Direct Hire Opportunity***\nPay: Up to $36.00 per hour\nBenefits:\n401(k)\nDental insurance\nHealth insurance\nHealth savings account\nVision insurance\nExperience:\nAerospace: 3 years (Required)\nQuality management: 3 years (Required)\nCAPA: 3 years (Required)\nAS9100: 3 years (Required)\nAbility to Commute:\nTorrance, CA 90504 (Required)\nWork Location: In person","company":"Elevant","rawCompany":"elevant","city":"Industry","state":"CA","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-08-06T15:43:15.598Z","occupations":[{"code":"11-3051.01","title":"Quality Control Systems Managers","slug":"quality-control-systems-managers"},{"code":"19-4099.01","title":"Quality Control Analysts","slug":"quality-control-analysts"},{"code":"51-9061.00","title":"Inspectors, Testers, Sorters, Samplers, and Weighers","slug":"inspectors-testers-sorters-samplers-and-weighers"}],"industries":[{"code":"336413","title":"Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing","slug":"other-aircraft-parts-and-auxiliary-equipment-manufacturing"},{"code":"336411","title":"Aircraft Manufacturing","slug":"aircraft-manufacturing"},{"code":"332710","title":"Machine Shops","slug":"machine-shops"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Quality Technician","description":"The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting quality systems and measurement processes to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
