Site Security Specialist The Site Security Specialist reports to the Site Security Lead and provides operational support to the client by implementing and upholding security measures on-site. This role will work closely with security personnel, assessing potential threats, and liaising with client leadership. The Site Security Specialist is a key stakeholder in the operational security, physical security, and logistics relative to the client.This role works within a team environment but much of the work is performed in a semi-autonomous fashion. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and will be able to prioritize and efficiently handle workload while maintaining a safe and secure facility for the client.Duties and Responsibilities Act as an armed active responder during an active assailant eventAct as first responder to support initial investigations into incidents and perform initial investigative triageAssist with evacuations and/or crisis lock-down/shelter in place eventsDeliver periodic active assailant training to ensure long term cultural adoption of the conceptsProvide on-site representation/participation in a crisis management teamTo ensure premier service delivery, function as a liaison between the company, client, and other client-facing security personnelAct as a liaison with local Law Enforcement to gather weekly intelligence, conduct facility tours, and schedule briefingsCoordinate team response for surveillance detectionReview Daily Activity Logs from the uniformed guard force to extract intelligence, conduct additional investigations, and disseminate to client's intelligence teamCultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with client points of contactPlan and participate in company provided training at the request of the clientSupport onboarding and offboarding processes, including equipment managementBe knowledgeable of all client contract requirements; recommend solutions to ensure exceptional client serviceSupport client's risk management program by performing periodic threat/vulnerability/risk auditsDemonstrate willingness to complete various job-related tasks and duties assigned by the clientDesired Skill Sets Demonstrates ability to support and augment the client's security functions and all components involved, including the ability to deliver investigative, protective, and consulting procedures, requirements, protocols, and operationsDemonstrates ability to work comfortably, communicate professionally, and interact effectively with executive members, staff, diverse groups, management, clients, vendors, and law enforcementDemonstrates superb communication skills with clients, managing day to day operations and long-term relationship developmentDemonstrates self-motivation and ability to work effectively with little or no directionSuperior service delivery mindset and initiativeDetail oriented, highly organized, and ability to multitaskProficient computer skills including MS Office applications and database applicationsDemonstrates ability to cultivate strong working relationships with other departments and co-workersExperience Requirements Experience participating in active assailant prevention & response programs.Suitable candidates must have at least 5 years of corporate and/or operational security experience in dynamic, fast-paced service environments and/or project management positions, military or law enforcement experience preferredSuitable candidates must complete all mandatory onboarding training satisfactorily.Experience in directly overseeing diverse teams is a plus.A bachelor's degree is desired but does not count for practical experience.Suitable candidates must possess appropriate state security license to include the authority to carry a concealed firearm.General ExpectationsThis role may require standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods of time. Exposure to extreme environmental conditions occurs occasionally. Individuals may be required to travel with little notice.
