Import Manager

Imports Operations Manager with a well-established freight forwarding and logistics company in Clifton Park.This is a highly visible operational leadership role inside an entrepreneurial, 100-person, established logistics company with a strong reputation and long-standing customer relationships.The role will oversee domestic and cross-border freight operations with heavy involvement in: • Domestic freight forwarding operations • Cross-border shipments into Canada and/or Mexico • Carrier/vendor management • Customer communication and issue resolution • Team leadership and operational oversight • Time-sensitive / expedited freight operations • Process improvement and operational executionThis is not a highly layered corporate environment. They want someone hands-on, responsive, operationally strong, and comfortable making decisions independently.Must-haves: • Strong freight forwarding/logistics operations background • Domestic freight operations experience (TL/LTL/routing/carrier coordination) • Cross-border freight exposure • Leadership experience managing operations teams • Strong customer communication and problem-solving skills • Experience in fast-paced operational environments • TMS/logistics systems experience (CargoWise helpful)The culture is collaborative, entrepreneurial, and relationship-driven.
