We are a licensed C-10 contractor and operate construction crews in various areas of CA and soon the rest of the U.S.\n\nThe Job Overview\n\nThis role is in-office, Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM in Costa Mesa, CA. This is mid to senior level role. We are on the lookout for highly motivated individuals with a background in construction, coupled with excellent communication skills. As a Construction Scheduler's primary responsibility is to create a schedule and track project progress, identify potential delays, and work with stakeholders to ensure that projects remain within scope. A construction scheduler's ultimate goal is to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and meets quality and safety standards.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nExperience in the developing of logical sequencing of the work, contract durations and phasing.\nAbility to work closely with clients, laborers, and project managers to successfully schedule and coordinate all phases of the construction process.\nAbility and the understanding to fully utilize the computer program Primavera/Expedition.\nExperience in the review and analysis of claims, time extensions, and impact on costs.\nPerform related tasks.\nAnalyze construction schedules and recommend work-arounds and schedule improvement ideas;\nAdvise Project Manager of change orders with schedule impact;\nValidate contractors’ project schedule accuracy;\nDevelop, report, and manage data for portfolio of assigned projects;\nActively participate in a identify scheduling process improvements;\nLiaison with contractors’ scheduling resources;\nCommunicates schedule status on a regular basis via formal and informal meetings and reports;\nMaintain critical path analysis and reporting deviations against the master schedule;\nMaintaining change management program;\nAssisting with identifying out-of-scope work items and creating change order requests to be presented to client;\nPreparing and submitting monthly reports for internal clients;\nResponsibility for project and program contingency planning;\nProviding critical path analyses, identifying problem areas and creating work-around solutions.\nRequirements and skills\n\nBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to construction preferred .\nProfessional experience working directly as a full-time Scheduler involved in construction projects.\nStrong computer skills (MS Office, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat, Smart Sheets)\nFluent in English with strong verbal/written communication skills\nEquipment used includes: computers and standard office machines;\nIndoor office environment. May require work on site location when necessary.
