In-person attendance may be required for some on-site meetingsJob Description:Our client is undertaking a comprehensive, multiyear modernization initiative to replace aging legacy systems—including full retirement of the ALICE platform—and transition to a unified, cloud native environment. This effort centers on building MyPAS 3.0, a modern Azure-hosted pension administration system that integrates seamlessly with MyTRS and MyERS.The modernization responds to long standing challenges such as fragmented workflows, manual processes, limited scalability, and stability issues in legacy technologies. The initiative introduces a modern stack—Angular, REST APIs, Azure SQL Managed Instances, Azure Function Apps, Power BI, a document management and process automation solution (pending platform evaluation and alternatives)—to support scalable, secure, and efficient operations.Requirements:Knowledge of modern application development frameworks, programming languages, and secure coding practicesKnowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including AgileKnowledge of business process analysis, functional design principles, documentation standards, user story development, and acceptance criteria definitionKnowledge of TRS business rules, including those specific to the Pension Software SystemFamiliarity with legacy systems architecture, dependencies, technologies, and integration pointsSkill in performing all aspects of application development, including coding, unit testing, documentation, code reviews, and submitting pull requests for TRS staff to reviewSkill in developing, enhancing, and maintaining application components that meet functional and technical requirementsSkill in developing clear, actionable user stories and maintaining a prioritized backlogSkill in developing APIs, system interfaces, and automation workflowsAbility to deliver high-quality work output with minimal defectsAbility to translate technical specifications into maintainable, production-ready softwareAbility to collaborate effectively with TRS technical staff, analysts, testers, and project managersAbility to manage multiple development tasks and meet established timelinesAbility to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesThis opportunity is available as a W2 position with a competitive benefits package.
