MORNING BARISTA

Responsibilities Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages with precision and care. Greet customers warmly, taking their orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Handle cash transactions confidently, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas. Ensure food safety standards are consistently met by following proper food handling and sanitation protocols. Manage time effectively during busy morning hours to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support the overall café operation. Engage with customers to promote sales of our products and foster a welcoming environment. Follow all health regulations related to food safety and food industry best practices. Support team members as needed during shift transitions to ensure smooth operations. Skills Proven barista experience with a strong understanding of coffee brewing techniques and beverage presentation. Familiarity with POS systems such as TOAST Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates a positive guest experience. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy morning shifts. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate transaction processing. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in a café or food service environment. Experience in serving or food preparation within the food industry is highly valued. Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Good communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with team members and interact positively with customers.
