In this role, you will be responsible for operating pre-assembly equipment, preparing parts and subassemblies, and ensuring materials meet quality and production requirements before final assembly. This position plays a critical role in maintaining production flow, product quality, and operational efficiency.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nMachine Operation: Operate pre-assembly machinery and equipment to prepare components and subassemblies according to work instructions and production specifications.\nMaterial Preparation: Gather, stage, and prepare parts, hardware, and materials required for pre-assembly operations to support production schedules.\nAssembly Support: Perform basic mechanical pre-assembly tasks such as fastening, fitting, or aligning components to create subassemblies for downstream production.\nQuality Verification: Inspect components and subassemblies for accuracy, proper fit, and quality standards; identify and report defects or inconsistencies.\nDocumentation & Reporting: Record production output, quality checks, and equipment performance using production logs or digital systems as required.\nEquipment Monitoring: Monitor machine performance during operation and notify maintenance or supervision of any malfunctions, abnormalities, or safety concerns.\nSafety & Compliance: Follow all company safety procedures, operating guidelines, and PPE requirements while maintaining a safe work environment.\nHousekeeping & Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored and accessible.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nPrevious manufacturing, assembly, or machine operation experience preferred\nAbility to read and follow work instructions, basic drawings, or production documentation\nBasic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety\nBasic computer skills for production tracking or documentation\nPHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS\nThis position may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motion, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs while working in a manufacturing or production environment.\nExposure to machinery noise, moving mechanical parts, and industrial work conditions.\nFlexibility to work different shifts or overtime as needed.\nTIME TRAVEL REQUIRED\nNo travel required.\nThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.\nOUR CORE PRINCIPALS:\nSafety.
