Directs customer to product pick-up point, if necessary.\r\nPlaces merchandise in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material. Places product overstock in proper location in stockroom.\r\nChecks shelves and pegs for low or out-of-stocks and re-fills from stockroom. Reports stock damage or spoilage.\r\nEnsures that bin tags are properly placed on shelves.\r\nEnsures merchandise is correctly priced.\r\nAttaches promotional and sale signage to proper merchandise.\r\nAssists in unpacking and checking in merchandise.\r\nAssists in setting up or re-organizing product displays.\r\nAnswers basic customer questions while on floor.\r\nMay assist in transporting customer purchases to vehicle.\r\nMay perform related clerical duties, such as preparation of transfer slips, control of pick cards, and maintaining records.\r\nParticipates in periodic, special, and annual inventory counts.\r\nOther duties may be assigned.\r\nSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.\r\nMinimum RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.\r\nHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or equivalent work experience.\r\nThis is an entry level position where the incumbent will receive on-the-job training.\r\nCompetencies\r\nKnowledge of company products and company standards\r\nAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing\r\nGood math skills\r\nGood customer service skills\r\nWork Environment / Physical ActivityThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
