Senior M&E Estimator
CEIS is looking for an M&E Estimator to support preconstruction and operations efforts with a focus on mechanical and electrical scopes. This role is responsible for developing accurate estimates, performing quantity takeoffs, and supporting subcontractor buyouts across conceptual through construction document phases. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of construction practices, particularly within M&E trades, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver competitive and well-developed project bids.ResponsibilitiesDevelop estimates and proposals for assigned bid opportunitiesPerform detailed quantity takeoffs and generate cost estimatesPrepare conceptual budgets and job cost proposals, including T&M, lump sum, and design-build packagesParticipate in bid solicitation, subcontractor outreach, and selection processesIdentify plan discrepancies and opportunities for value engineeringSupport subcontractor and vendor negotiationsBuild and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors for future workCollaborate with architects, engineers, and internal teams to support preconstruction effortsAssist with constructability reviews and cost analysis throughout project developmentSupport additional estimating and preconstruction activities as neededRequirementsStrong understanding of construction methods, practices, and project executionExperience reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and blueprintsWorking knowledge of multiple construction trades, with emphasis on mechanical and electrical systemsAbility to perform quantity takeoffs and develop cost models using labor and material dataStrong mathematical and analytical skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelExperience with estimating tools such as WinEst, Accubid, or similar systemsExperience using Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, BuildingConnected, or similar platformsValid drivers license and acceptable driving recordPreferred QualificationsBachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Cost Engineering, or related field2+ years of experience in M&E construction or estimatingRelevant certifications in cost estimating or construction managementCEIS | Power is a small business headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with key offices in San Francisco, CA and Pittsburgh, PA, and we are growing.
