Position SummaryContractorRemoteWork you'll doAs a Technical Engineer Contractor supporting the Deloitte project team, you will design, build, integrate, and support production solutions spanning Python-based AI/ML, Java J2EE + React application delivery, and data center storage engineering. You will own implementation quality end-to-end—requirements, design, build, integration, testing, troubleshooting, documentation—and ensure secure LLM/AI practices aligned to OWASP guidance.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop technical solutions to address complex engineering and business problems.Build, train, evaluate, and deploy Python AI/ML models and algorithms; implement data preparation, feature engineering, and reproducible pipelines.Develop and integrate backend and UI components using Java J2EE and React to operationalize AI/ML capabilities.Perform system integration, testing, validation, and performance tuning to ensure reliability and scalability.Apply OWASP LLM security best practices to LLM-enabled features (e.g., prompt injection defenses, data leakage controls, access controls, secure tool/function use, monitoring/logging).Provide data center storage engineering support: storage provisioning and configuration, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and troubleshooting across SAN/NAS/storage arrays (as applicable to the environment).Diagnose and resolve incidents across application, data, ML, and storage layers; perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive fixes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver iteratively.Document architectures, technical specifications, procedures/runbooks, and compliance-relevant artifacts.Required Skills & QualificationsData Center Storage Engineering — Intermediate (3–5 years)Python AI/ML — Intermediate (3–5 years)Java J2EE with React — AdvancedPython (Data Manipulation & Analysis) — AdvancedMachine Learning — IntermediateOWASP Large Language Models (LLM) — Advanced (demonstrated implementation of controls, not just awareness)Strong hands-on experience with integration/testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentationPreferred SkillsExperience deploying ML to production (APIs, batch scoring, pipelines), monitoring, and drift/performance management CI/CD, automated testing, and secure SDLC practices Exposure to containerization and/or cloud-hosted ML/data platformsThe expected pay range for this contract assignment is $ 70 - $ 75 per hour.  The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.Candidates interested in applying for this opportunity must be geographically based in the United States and must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.We do not accept agency resumes and are not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes.Deloitte is not the employer for this role.
