{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"a32104fcb13d3b05af69b08d","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a32104fcb13d3b05af69b08d","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a32104fcb13d3b05af69b08d","title":"Construction Accounting Manager / Controller","description":"Construction Accounting Manager / Controller\n\nAdval Construction Inc.Full-Time | In-PersonSalary: $75,000–$100,000/year + Performance Bonus\n\nAbout Adval Construction\n\nAdval Construction Inc. is a fast-growing California residential remodeling and general construction company with approximately $6 million in annual revenue.\n\nOur services include kitchen and bathroom remodeling, cabinet refacing and refinishing, countertops, flooring, painting, and general construction projects.\n\nWe are looking for an experienced Construction Accounting Manager / Controller to take ownership of our accounting, financial reporting, job costing, and cash-flow management.\n\nThis is a hands-on position working directly with company ownership and leadership.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n* Manage day-to-day accounting operations\n* Maintain accurate job costing and profitability by project\n* Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable\n* Track customer deposits, progress payments, and final payments\n* Manage vendor and subcontractor invoices\n* Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts\n* Calculate and verify sales commissions\n* Coordinate payroll and labor-cost reporting\n* Prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash-Flow reports\n* Track budget vs. actual performance\n* Identify jobs exceeding budgets or profitability targets\n* Maintain W-9 and 1099 documentation\n* Improve internal financial controls and accounting procedures\n* Work with our outside CPA on taxes and compliance\n* Provide ownership with accurate weekly and monthly financial reports\n\nQualifications\n\n* 5+ years of accounting/finance experience preferred\n* Construction accounting and job-costing experience strongly preferred\n* Strong QuickBooks experience\n* Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills\n* Experience with A/R, A/P, payroll, and financial reporting\n* Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow\n* Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented\n* Strong problem-solving and communication skills\n* High level of integrity and confidentiality\n\nCompensation & Benefits\n\n* $75,000–$100,000 annual salary\n* Performance-based bonus\n* Health insurance\n* 401(k) retirement plan\n* Paid time off\n* Paid holidays\n* Long-term growth opportunities\n\nFinal compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.\n\nIdeal Candidate\n\nWe’re looking for someone who does more than record transactions.
