{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"a31ff7b8fd6613b57991fe70","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a31ff7b8fd6613b57991fe70","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a31ff7b8fd6613b57991fe70","title":"Senior Cloud Engineer — Cloud, API QA, & Requirements","description":"Position Summary\nWe are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support a secure government digital platform.\nThe ideal candidate is a technically fluent SysAdmin who can support AWS cloud platform operations, write and maintain Infrastructure as Code, and assist with DevSecOps workflows.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and sustainment of cloud-based platform environments.\nAssist with AWS environment configuration, access management, deployment readiness, and operational support.\nSupport Infrastructure as Code activities using Terraform or similar tools.\nCoordinate with DevSecOps engineers on CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, configuration management, and release support.\nHelp document environment needs, access requirements, operational dependencies, and platform readiness criteria.\nSupport issue triage related to cloud access, environments, configuration, deployments, and platform behavior.\nParticipate in security and compliance support activities, including evidence gathering, vulnerability tracking, remediation coordination, and RMF/ATO-related documentation as needed.\nParticipation in systems hardening for ATO support, including ACAS scan remediation and STIG compliance.\nRequired Qualifications\n7+ years of relevant experience as a DevSecOps Analyst, Systems Administrator, Platform Analyst, or similar role.\nExperience supporting technical delivery in cloud, platform, API, integration, or secure government environments.\nFamiliarity with AWS cloud environments and cloud operations concepts.\nFamiliarity with Red Hat Linux administration.\nFamiliarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.\nFamiliarity with DevSecOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, version control, deployment processes, and release coordination.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.\nAbility to work independently in a remote environment while coordinating across distributed technical and non-technical teams.\nU.S. citizenship required.\nActive Secret clearance required; must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting Department of Defense, Navy, or federal government programs.\nExperience with API authentication and authorization patterns such as OAuth, client credentials, JWT, certificates, API keys, or token-based access.\nExperience with AWS GovCloud or secure government cloud environments.\nExperience supporting RMF, ATO, IATT, NIST controls, STIG compliance, vulnerability management, or security compliance documentation.\nExperience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, SharePoint, Git, or similar collaboration and delivery tools.\nExperience with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar automation tools.\nFamiliarity with monitoring, logging, observability, access management, and operational support processes.\nFamiliarity with Kubernetes configuration and administration.\nExperience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API Manager, Exchange, Runtime Manager, Design Center, or related capabilities.\nSecurity+ certification, AWS certification, MuleSoft certification, Terraform certification, Linux/Red Hat certification, Agile/Scrum certification, or related credentials.\nDesired Candidate Profile\nThe strongest candidate will be a technically capable systems administrator who can move comfortably across platform operations.\nThis person should be able to:\nunderstand AWS and Terraform conversations,\ndocument requirements and technical assumptions,\ntroubleshoot and triage issues\nWork Location\nRemote.\nClearance Requirement\nActive Secret clearance preferred.
