This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, solid mechanical and electrical aptitude, and the ability to respond quickly to facility issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nResponsibilities\nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, lighting, plumbing, compressed air, exhaust systems, and building fixtures.\nDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues throughout the facility.\nRespond rapidly to facility or utility interruptions to minimize operational downtime.\nMaintain accurate records of inspections, PM logs, work orders, and repair documentation.\nSupport production teams by ensuring facility utilities—power, air, cooling, ventilation—are operating continuously and safely.\nCoordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams for repairs, installations, and facility improvement projects.\nMonitor and maintain facility infrastructure such as doors, docks, flooring, safety systems, and building access hardware.\nAssist with installation and relocation of equipment requiring facility support such as power drops, air lines, ventilation, or anchoring.\nEnsure all maintenance activities comply with building codes, safety standards, ESD protocols, and company procedures.\nIdentify facility improvement opportunities to enhance reliability, efficiency, and workplace safety.\nQualifications\nEducation\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (required)\nTechnical certification in HVAC, electrical, facilities maintenance, or related field preferred\nExperience\n2+ years of facility maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or commercial environment\nExperience with HVAC systems, electrical troubleshooting, plumbing, compressed air, and general building repairs preferred\nSkills\nStrong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting capabilities\nAbility to read and interpret building schematics, technical manuals, and safety documentation\nFamiliarity with facility systems such as HVAC controls, electrical panels, compressors, and building automation systems\nBasic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) for work order management and reporting\nStrong communication skills; able to work effectively with production, engineering, and leadership\nAbility to prioritize tasks, manage multiple requests, and work under pressure\nBenefits\n401(k) with company match\nMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance\nPaid time off\nCareer growth opportunities in a high-tech manufacturing environment\n\nRocket EMS will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the California Fair Chance Act.
