Now Hiring CNC Operator in Hanover, PAWe are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team, focusing on operating Salvagnini systems with an emphasis on shearing and punching operations. The role involves programming, setting up, and operating multipurpose machines to perform automated punching and shearing tasks to meet production schedules according to predetermined standards.ResponsibilitiesLearn the basic aspects of operating the Salvagnini system(s).Program, set up, and operate multipurpose machines for automated punching and shearing.Generate and report OEE Weekly Results.Inspect production for conformance to specifications through first piece inspection.Operate DNC controlled shear, punch, forming machine, laser, and automated warehouse.Utilize punches, dies, measuring tape, hand tools, digital protractor, calipers, and other equipment.Select and load raw materials required and initiate production.Interface with computer systems for production control, program editing, preventive maintenance, and SAP.Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil and lubrication using the F&L Process.Assist in determining root causes of production errors and take corrective measures for prevention.Maintain and rebuild tooling, monitor tooling inventory, coordinate ordering of new tooling, and maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables.Monitor steel inventory and load steel into the machine.Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure sufficient inventory for production requirements.Manage input and output of raw material into automated warehouse, work in process, and scrap utilization.Remove completed parts and deliver them to the next location.Provide input to manufacturing personnel on production, system operation, maintenance, and performance.Use Total Preventive Maintenance system (TPM) and 5S training.Audit and edit programs and nesting as needed.Essential SkillsBlueprint reading and interpretation.Experience with sheet metal and punch press operations.Proficient in using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.Ability to set up and operate CNC press brake and brake press machines.Basic mathematical skills.Why Work Here?Join a reputable company offering a clean manufacturing environment with access to an onsite weight room. Candidates are required to wear steel-toed boots, long pants, and safety glasses while in the shop. The position offers shifts as follows: 1st shift from 6am-2:30pm, 2nd shift from 2:30pm-11pm, and 3rd shift from 11pm-6:30am, Sunday through Thursday.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.50 - $24.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
