PEDS UNIT!!! Pediatric Unit Therapist (Full Time)
At our brand-new Pediatric Unit, part of Wellstone Emergency Services (WES), we provide care to individuals ages 12-18 who are experiencing a mental health crisis. The PEDS Unit Therapist works as part of a comprehensive treatment team of professionals focused on the stabilization and care of individuals on our unit. Our PEDS Unit Therapist will work onsite with our clients, their families, and therapeutic team to support the clients’ stabilization and growth. This position is a full time, Monday through Friday.
What We're Looking For:
Master's degree in social services with practicum; required
License (LPC, LICSW, LMFT); preferred
Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
Prefer at least one year working with serious emotionally disturbed (SED) youth
Computer Literacy
What You'll Be Doing:
Perform initial assessments and intakes
Perform treatment planning for crisis stabilization
Conduct individual, group and/or family therapy to child and adolescent population up to eighteen years of age
Document progress of client to goals as outlined in the Treatment plan in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Work closely with Treatment Team, guardians, and other stakeholders regarding client’s needs
Participate and/or facilitate meetings as assigned
Conduct follow-up with clients
Maintain educational requirements regarding licensure, Department of Mental Health State Standards
Other duties as assigned by Unit Coordinator, WES director, Chief Clinical Officer or as directed by CEO.
