The Lead Diesel Technician will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our diesel technician team, ensuring the timely and efficient diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of diesel vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.\nTransdev is proud to offer:\nCBA Position:\nCompetitive compensation package of minimum $37.25 – maximum $38.25\nBenefits include:\nVacation: (2) weeks for new employees.\nSick days: 5 days\nHolidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating\nOther standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.\nCompany paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement\nKey Responsibilities:\nCoordinate and prioritize the workload of the diesel technician team, assigning tasks and ensuring that all work is completed in a timely manner.\nUtilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues in diesel vehicles and equipment.\nManage inventory levels of parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels to support maintenance and repair activities while minimizing waste and excess inventory.\nPerform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other components, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Coach and monitor members of the work team.\nOther duties as required.\nTravel requirement outside of immediate area (as a percent):\nQualifications:\nMinimum of 6 years of experience as a diesel technician, with demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems.\nStrong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.\nMust be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.\nSubject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe essential functions of this position require the ability to:\nWork outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.\nSit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces\nPush and pull objects up to 75 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level\nWithstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
