This is an onsite position.The Software Developer will work in support of the Army for the Product Technical Support Services (PTSS) program. Efforts are needed for PTSS for systems and equipment beingproduced, fielded, modified or supported by PdM Network Modernization (NetMod) and PdMMission Network of the Project Manager (PM) Command and Control (C2) Transport of the Command Program Executive for C2 Information Network (CPE C2IN). This support may alsoinclude future systems and equipment that are developed and acquired for the Army to maintain its technologicaladvantage.Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToDesigning, developing, and maintaining software for a variety of engineering applicationsWorking with analysts to understand their analytic or interface requirementsDeveloping tools and interfacesDesigning, developing, and testing operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software applications for both Windows and Linux systemsSetting operational specifications and formulating and analyzing software requirementsDesigning embedded systems softwareResponsible for designing, coding, testing, and deploying software applicationsCollaborate with teams to meet user needs, ensuring the functionality and quality of the software across different platforms and systems.Identify areas for improvement and implement updates based on user feedback.Minimum QualificationsBachelor of Science and 10+ years of relevant experience in software development.5+ years in the Department of Defense supporting software development preferred.Ability to analyze user requirements, create software architecture, and write code to build applications according to specifications. Ability to conduct thorough testing to identify and fix bugs and issues in the software. Experience with creating documentation for developed software, including user guides and technical specifications. Possess basic programming language skills such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript.Experience with programming on Linux systems.Preferred QualificationsStrong command of relevant programming languages based on the project requirements Ability to analyze complex problems, identify solutions, and implement them effectivelyClearance RequirementsMust be a U.S Citizen and have a current/active Secret clearance.Physical RequirementsMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
