This role will be instrumental in developing and launching a new water management service for growers while continuing to offer technical support and building strong relationships with customers.\nAs a subject matter expert in water management and agronomy, you will work closely with our agronomy and irrigation teams to develop the product offering, educate customers, and create value-added solutions to help them optimize crop production and water use. This role will also provide consulting and expertise in water management until the service is fully operational with clients.\nWhat you will do:\nWater Management Services Development\nCollaborate with the Water and Nutrients Product Manager to lead the design and launch of a new irrigation consulting service.\nDevelop strategies for the service, including key features, customer engagement, and value proposition.\nGather market feedback and adapt the service to better meet grower needs.\nLead the transition of the water management service from development to full customer implementation.\nAgronomy and Grower Relations\nServe as a key resource for growers, providing expert advice on irrigation, water conservation, and crop management.\nAct as a liaison between the grower community and Semios, building relationships and maintaining strong communication with key accounts.\nSupport in-field activities such as crop monitoring, data collection, and assessing customer needs for irrigation and agronomy solutions.\nConsulting and Customer Engagement\nEducate potential and current customers on best practices in water management and agronomy, with a focus on Semios products and services.\nConduct field visits, trials, and demonstrations to showcase water management and irrigation technologies.\nProvide in-season support to customers, offering advice and adjustments to irrigation strategies to optimize crop yield and quality.\nProduct and Market Expertise\nGain a deep understanding of Semios’s agronomy and irrigation solutions and provide training to internal teams.\nStay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in water management and crop production.\nWork cross-functionally with sales and product teams to enhance service offerings and expand our customer base.\nStrategic Planning & Reporting\nCollaborate with Marketing and Product Management teams to shape business strategies for Water Management Services.\nParticipate in the development of after-action reports, performance reviews, and strategic goals.\nProvide input into product development based on market and customer feedback.\nRegularly report to senior management on project progress, customer feedback, and business results.\nTeam Collaboration & Support\nWork closely with the Interim VP of Sales, NA and Water & Nutrients Product Manager to ensure smooth project execution.\nOnce Irrigation Consulting Services is launched, act as a team leader in the launch and implementation, mentoring junior staff, and supporting the overall success of the team.\nParticipate in strategic planning sessions to ensure alignment of agronomy and water management services.\nWe want you to succeed, so you will need:\nEducation, Experience, & Licensing Requirements\nBachelor's degree in agronomy, horticulture, environmental science, water resource management, or a related field preferred. Or equivalent experience\nMinimum 5 years in agronomic consulting, water resource management, irrigation systems, or a related technical support role in agriculture\nCCA certification or the ability to obtain one within 6 months\nA valid drivers license and the ability to travel 50% of the time\n\nSkills\nExpertise in water management, irrigation systems, and agronomy practices\nExperience working with growers and building relationships within the agricultural sector\nStrong communication, presentation, and consulting skills\nProven ability to lead and support the development of new services or products\nProficiency with data analysis, problem-solving, and solution implementation\nAbility to work independently\nSalary range: $85,000 to $95,000 USD per year\nWe publish a salary range to provide transparency and represent the full growth potential of the role; as a result, offers are made based on demonstrated mastery and experience and generally fall near the midpoint.\nWork Environment:\nThe position will require frequent travel to customer sites, company locations, or industry events. While performing remote work, employees are expected to maintain a home workspace that is free from distractions and conducive to productive work.
