Answering the phone and taking reservations importing into the Open Table data base.\n\nWork Performed:\nMeet and greet guests as they arrive and escort them to their table and present menu\nMaintain host desk and all menus tidy/ clean/ neat\nReceive record and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant.\nMaintain an open line of communication between guests, management and other team members.\nObserve all safety procedures during the execution of assigned duties.\nWork efficiently as a team.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to sit, stand, reach, bend and stoop\nAbility to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 40 pounds.\nAbility to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations\n\nRequired Experience:\nKnowledge of restaurant operations service equipment and guest relations.\nAbility to read the English language to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, reservations, promotional materials, event orders and similar written materials.\nAbility to move throughout a crowded room to seat guests.\nAbility to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.\n\nTraining & Experience:\nAny combination of education, training and experience equivalent to graduation from high school that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
