Volunteer Coordinator
Special Equestrians, Inc. is accepting applications for the SE Volunteer Coordinator position. Responsibilities of the VC include the overall recruitment, training, coordination, and management of Special Equestrians' volunteers. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, supervising, and recognizing Special Equestrians volunteers; performing administrative duties necessary for the implementation, operation, and evaluation of the Volunteer Program; working closely with program staff to ensure quality, effective, and seamless services; providing training and supervision necessary for volunteers to be able to fulfill their roles; and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. This position requires working on some weekend days and early evenings, consistent with our class schedule. This position can be physically demanding and may require assisting in mounting and dismounting adult participants, walking in arena footing, and working outside in all weather. Horse experience is a MUST. This role is dynamic and rewarding! We so often hear from our families, event attendees, staff, and other volunteers that we have a fantastic group of volunteers at Special Equestrians, and it is the absolute truth!!
