Other benefits include paid birthday, vacation and holiday.This position is at the center of an ever changing, deadline driven environment and requires an individual with positive energy and real time problem solving skills who is capable of making appropriate decisions in a fast-paced environment.This is a PM shift - the schedule is Monday - Friday 3pm - TBD (until the work is completed).Role And Responsibilities Plan, route and execute freight deliveries and pick-ups Maintain positive working relationships and a high level of engagement with JAF customers, Drivers, Customer Service and Carriers Make decisions that comply with policies and established guidelines Utilize software to enter, update and monitor freight/driver locations Maintain a high regard for safety and DOT compliance and regulationsRequirements3+ years of previous transportation dispatch experience, knowledge of local P&D operationsExcellent geographical knowledge of Chicago 6 county area and southern WisconsinProficient computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, TMS softwareAbility to support and work closely with Operations CoordinatorExcellent communication skillsAbility to make critical decisions in a timely manner following company procedures and core values
