We are committed to creating a diverse environment and proud to be an equal opportunity employer.\nProcess Engineer Technician\n\nThe Process Engineer Technician position is responsible for start-up, operation and troubleshooting of sheet extrusion systems for wound, inline thermoformed or cut to length applications including travel to customer site for start-up and installation of lines. This position reports to the Applications & Technology Manager.\nDuties include:\nComplete installation of extrusion lines (mechanically and utilities), hot torquing of adapters/downstream components, filling of water cooling systems and bleeding air from various systems etc.\nInitial set-up of line prior to running material including safety checks.\nSetting of process set points for particular materials including PET, PP, PS, PE, PLA, etc. and establishing stable processing conditions.\nDevelop and lead process initiatives at customers site to improve quality and output\nDevelop and conduct training programs for Line Operators and Process Technicians\nWork with plant process groups to improve technical capabilities\nLogging/archiving of process data from start-ups and service trips onto PTi server\nRequired travel: 50-75%\nMiscellaneous duties and projects as assigned\nRequirements\n3-5 years' relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in engineering and manufacturing\nGood working knowledge of plastic processing set points (temperature, pressures, line speeds) for various materials.\nHands on individual, ability to operate sheet extrusion system.\nReliability Engineering skills\nUnderstanding of polymer behavior and processes\nExperience working with machinery\nTraining experience\nStrong knowledge of Engineering principles\nGood verbal, written and presentation skills\nComputer skills (work processing, spreadsheets, etc.)\nDrug & Alcohol screen and background checks are conditions of employment.
