HVAC Technician/ Maintenance Technician

Job Description Position Summary:SOVA Waste and Recycling is seeking skilled and dependable HVAC/Maintenance Technicians to support the maintenance and repair of facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure at our Henry County and South Boston locations. This role combines HVAC technical expertise with general maintenance responsibilities in a fast-paced industrial environment.The HVAC/Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems are operating efficiently while also performing general repairs and preventative maintenance to support daily operations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, functional, and productive work environment.Key Responsibilities: Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and componentsDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical abdominal electrical issuesPerform preventative maintenance and repairs on buildings, machinery, and yard infrastructureAssist with mechanical repairs and basic fabrication as neededEnsure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company policiesMaintain accurate maintenance and service recordsRespond to service calls and urgent repair needsQualifications: Minimum of two (2) years of HVAC experience (industrial or commercial preferred)EPA Certification requiredGeneral maintenance or mechanical experience strongly preferredWorking knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and repair techniquesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, industrial environmentValid driver's licenseCompensation & Benefits: Competitive pay based on experienceMedical, dental, and vision insurance available after 30 daysFull-time position with consistent hours
