HVAC/Mechanical Estimator

We are a growing Long Island commercial mechanical contractor seeking an experienced HVAC / Mechanical Estimator to support bidding and pre-construction planning for large commercial HVAC projects.The ideal candidate has experience estimating commercial HVAC systems and is comfortable working with FastEST estimating software including FastDUCT and FastPIPE.You will work closely with project managers, engineers, vendors, and leadership to develop competitive bids for large-scale commercial mechanical projects across the region.What You'll Do• Review commercial mechanical drawings, specifications, and engineered plans • Perform quantity takeoffs for HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, insulation, and controls • Utilize FastEST, FastDUCT, and FastPIPE for estimating and cost analysis • Develop labor and material cost estimates based on project scope and schedules • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing • Prepare bid proposals, RFP responses, and budget estimates • Participate in value engineering and pre-construction planning • Attend pre-bid meetings, site walkthroughs, and scope clarification meetingsQualifications• 3–5+ years estimating commercial HVAC or mechanical construction projects • Strong understanding of commercial systems including RTUs, AHUs, chillers, boilers, VRF, hydronic systems, cooling towers, ERVs, and controls • Ability to read and interpret commercial mechanical drawings and specifications • Experience with FastEST, FastDUCT, or FastPIPE preferred • Knowledge of New York mechanical codes and commercial construction practices • Strong analytical and organizational skillsBenefits• Oxford Gold Health Insurance Plan available if needed • 401(k) with company matching after one year • Dental and vision options • Paid time off and holidays • Competitive salary based on experience • Long-term growth opportunity with a stable mechanical contractorWhy Join UsYou will work on significant commercial HVAC projects across Long Island, including installations for:• Car dealerships • Office buildings • Healthcare facilities • Industrial sites • Schools • Government projectsYour estimating expertise will play a key role in helping us win and deliver major mechanical projects across the region.📩 Interested candidates are encouraged to apply or message directly.
