This person will work closely with the Program Director and serve as their right hand in making sure clubs, instructors, students, and program operations run smoothly.\n\nThis is a *hands-on position*. We are looking for someone who is just as comfortable organizing schedules and communicating with instructors as they are walking into a classroom and leading a LEGO, art, STEAM, cooking, sports, drama, or other enrichment club when needed.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n*Program Director Support*\n\n* Assist the Program Director with the daily operation of enrichment clubs and programs.\n* Help manage club schedules, instructor assignments, rosters, supplies, and program logistics.\n* Help prepare programs for each session, including classroom assignments, materials, instructor needs, and student information.\n* Complete administrative and operational tasks assigned by the Program Director.\n* Help identify and solve problems before they impact programming.\n\n*Club & Instructor Support*\n\n* Serve as a point of support for enrichment instructors and contractors.\n* Make sure instructors arrive on time, have the materials they need, and understand program expectations.\n* Check in on clubs to ensure students are engaged and programming meets Future Stars standards.\n* Help instructors with classroom management, transitions, dismissal, supplies, and other needs.\n* Assist with showcases, special events, and end-of-session activities.\n\n*Substitute & Classroom Coverage*\n\n* *Be prepared to personally lead an enrichment club when an instructor is absent, late, or unavailable.*\n* Quickly review provided lesson plans and confidently facilitate activities with students.\n* Step into different types of programming as needed, including STEAM, LEGO, arts and crafts, cooking, drama, games, sports, and other enrichment activities.\n* Maintain a safe, positive, structured, and engaging environment for students.\n\n*Program Operations*\n\n* Help manage student arrival, transitions, attendance, and dismissal.\n* Transport or organize program materials and supplies as needed.\n* Assist with classroom setup and breakdown.\n* Communicate program issues or concerns to the Program Director.\n* Help respond to unexpected staffing, scheduling, behavior, or operational challenges in real time.\n* Travel between program locations when necessary.\n\nWho We're Looking For\n\nOur ideal candidate is a *problem-solver and team player who doesn't wait to be told every little thing that needs to be done.* This position requires someone who can see a need, jump in, and help keep the program moving.\n\nYou should be:\n\n* Comfortable and confident working directly with children in PK–5th grade.\n* Able to lead a classroom independently when necessary.\n* Organized and able to manage multiple moving pieces at once.\n* Flexible when plans change unexpectedly.\n* Comfortable communicating with teachers, contractors, school staff, families, and leadership.\n* Dependable and punctual.\n* Energetic, professional, and solutions-oriented.\n* Comfortable traveling between school/program locations.\n* Willing to jump in wherever needed—whether that means helping an instructor, finding missing supplies, handling dismissal, reorganizing a schedule, or teaching the club yourself.\n\nPreferred Experience\n\n* Experience working in after-school, enrichment, summer camp, childcare, recreation, or youth programming.\n* Classroom teaching or group management experience.\n* Experience coordinating programs, events, camps, or extracurricular activities.\n* Familiarity with elementary-aged students and enrichment programming.\n* Experience leading activities such as STEAM, art, cooking, LEGO, drama, dance, sports, or similar programs is a plus.\n\nThe Right Person for This Role\n\nThis is *not a desk-only coordinator position*. Our enrichment programs are fast-moving, and things do not always go according to plan.
