Our Greenfield BIW services further highlight our versatility and commitment to delivering top-tier solutions in the automotive industry.\nYour responsibilities This role will work out of Blythewood, South Carolina on a weekly basis.\nWe are seeking a Project Engineer - Controls (PEC) with a strong background in automation and control systems to support complex, medium-to-large-scale automation projects as part of a Global Program Execution Team. This role is responsible for leading all aspects of electrical controls engineering, from design through commissioning, in support of automated manufacturing systems.\nRole within the Project Team The Project Engineer - Controls (PEC) is one of three primary leadership roles responsible for project execution:\nProject Manager (PM) - Overall project leadership, schedule, budget, and customer interface\nProject Engineer - Mechanical (PEM) - Mechanical design, build, and installation leadership\nProject Engineer - Controls (PEC) - Electrical and automation controls leadership\nKey Responsibilities Controls Engineering Leadership Lead and coordinate all electrical controls engineering activities for assigned projects\nServe as the technical owner for PLC, robot, and automation control systems\nDefine controls architecture, standards, and implementation strategies\nProgramming & Automation Develop, review, and support PLC and/or robotic programming\nSupport integration of automation equipment, safety systems, and networked controls\nProject Execution & Coordination Partner with PM and PEM to align scope, timing, and deliverables\nParticipate in design reviews and readiness assessments\nSupport onsite installation, debugging, commissioning, and startup\nTroubleshoot electrical and controls issues\nDocumentation & Standards Review electrical schematics and software documentation\nEnsure compliance with safety and customer standards\nRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field\n3-5 years of automation and controls engineering experience\nPLC and/or robot programming experience\nPreferred Qualifications Project management experience on medium to large projects\nAutomotive or high-volume manufacturing experience\nWorking Conditions Project-based travel required\nThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
