About This Role
Manages a team of intermediate or experienced technical professionals in Field Service. Responsible for setting objectives and guiding others on approach to the achievement of sales results prioritizing customer satisfaction. Accountable for managing relationships with cross functional teams to ensure goals are understood and objectives are met. Manage National and Key account service agreements. Assist in developing an onboarding process for local channel partners to execute inspection and service requests.
The Field Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of fire alarm and employee notification systems across multiple locations. This role ensures compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards and involves coordinating with various stakeholders to maintain and improve fire safety measures.
Key Responsibilities
Program Oversight: Manage the technical field service team, ensuring all customer systems are up-to-date and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations for all projects.
Project Management: Works cross functionally with the Project Management team to ensure this team has necessary documentation for an on-time delivery. i.e., QC trip reports, third party inspection reports.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure all fire alarm systems meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Budget Management: Ensuring expenses are maintained to reduce project margin erosion.
Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to staff on systems operations.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of projects, including trip reports, maintenance logs, and compliance reports.
Stakeholder Communication: Regularly update stakeholders on project or service request progress, issues, and resolutions.
Field Service Schedule: Works with Project Management leader and service coordinator in scheduling the appropriate resources to address project milestones.
Basic Qualifications
HS Diploma or Equivalent
3+ years of practical field experience or 3+ years’ service management experience.
Valid Driver's License
Ability to travel 30%
Preferred Qualifications
University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Proficient Microsoft Office 365 suite proficiency
Extensive experience in fire alarm system management and project coordination.
Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards.
Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of client service requests in coordination with field service team.
Has broad knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
Nicet Certification in Fire Alarm Systems or equivalent licensing ( Level III or higher)
